With a great deal of appreciation, I'd like to thank you for joining me this past year in one of the biggest efforts of my life.  Together, we built a winning campaign for City Council that remained clean and all about the "grass roots."  Your time, money and moral support made all the difference.  Your word of mouth and advice were truly invaluable and keep me going.  And in the end, all your help made the past year of campaigning worth it.

I'll be spending the next few days touching base with many of you, wrapping up my final month on the School Board, and getting ready for a new term on the Council.  I'll hit the ground running but will also be asking lots of questions and listening as I build an even broader understanding of the many issues facing the city.

Finally, nothing I've done has been possible without the love and support of my family.  This success couldn't have happened without Scott, Gina, Jessi and Clay.  I am truly lucky to have them by my side and their continued support going in to this new role.

Again, thank you for making my election to the City Council a reality.  I pledge to always uphold the community's trust and to listen to your ideas and concerns for San Leandro!
